A Fun Singing Weekend

in WESTON-super-MARE for MEN

If you've not come to one of our singing weekends, you've really missed out. They're great fun whether you think you can sing or not!!

Previous participants have enjoyed our singing weekends enormously and gained a great deal from them. Wives and partners that came also really enjoyed themselves. In Spring 2017 we have a weekend in the beautiful West Country seaside town of Weston-super-Mare. Come and join with others in some wonderful singing and workshops. We'll finish the weekend in concert with local mixed choir Worle Chorale, in the town's beautiful parish church.

We aim to have a fun, music packed weekend. Some of the music you might know but there'll be some surprises! The weekend will be suitable for singers of all abilities. There'll be plenty of time to explore the beach and town too.

When? 24-26 March 2017

Where? Smith's Hotel, opposite the beach in the beautiful town of Weston-super-Mare

How much? Two nights £195*: (Fri & Sat bed, breakfast, evening meal and Sunday afternoon tea

or Three nights £245* (Fri, Sat, Sun), meals as above

* based on two sharing

Wife/partner (no workshops / rehearsals) sharing rates are:

£140 (two nights); £190 (three nights)

Single occupancy rates: two nights £205; three nights £265

(If you book single occupancy but would prefer to share in order to save costs, please let us know at the time of booking. We will let you know if the opportunity arises.)

Some FAQ answers!

You don't have to be able to read music (but being able to 'hold a tune' is good);
No-one will be auditioned;
No-one will be asked to sing any solos (but you can volunteer);
Music will be provided (as will any relevant learning tracks);
We aim for it all to be FUN!

Itinerary:

Friday: 5pm Introductions, issue of music, welcome drink and first workshop followed by a three course dinner then another rehearsal / workshop before finally adjourning to the bar (or bed)!

Saturday: morning rehearsals / workshops; free from 1-5pm (make your own lunch arrangements), rehearsal before three course dinner then a final rehearsal before adjourning to the bar (or bed)!

Sunday: concert rehearsals after breakfast, afternoon finale concert in the Parish Church with Worle Chorale then return to the hotel for afternoon tea and the weekend prizegiving before heading for home.
