Returning for a Fun Singing Weekend in NEWQUAY

13-15 October 2017

We're returning to the stunning Pentire Hotel for another singing weekend for men. Whether you think you can sing or not, it's a great time (and for wives nad partners).

 

Previous participants really enjoyed the experiences enormously and gained a great deal from them. Wives and partners that came also enjoyed themselves very much. In Spring 2017 we have a weekend in the beautiful West Country seaside town of Weston-super-Mare but in October, we return to Newquay. Come and join us in some wonderful singing and workshops then finish the weekend in concert in beautiful St Michael's Church with the amazing Newquay Male Voice Choir.

 

We aim to have a fun, music packed weekend. Some of the music you might know but there'll be some surprises! The weekend will be suitable for singers of all abilities. There'll be plenty of time to explore the beach and town too.

Wife/partner (no workshops / rehearsals) sharing rates are:

£140 (two nights); £190 (three nights)

Single occupancy rates: two nights £205; three nights £265

If you book single occupancy but would prefer to share in order to save costs, please let us know at the time of booking. We will let you know if the opportunity arises.

 

Some FAQ answers!

  • You don't have to be able to read music (but being able to 'hold a tune' is good);
  • No-one will be auditioned;
  • No-one will be asked to sing any solos (but you can volunteer);
  • Music will be provided (as will any relevant learning tracks);
  • We aim for it all to be FUN!

Itinerary:

 

Friday: 5pm Introductions, issue of music, welcome drink and first workshop followed by a three course dinner then another rehearsal / workshop before finally adjourning to the bar (or bed)!

 

Saturday: morning rehearsals / workshops; free from 1-5pm (make your own lunch arrangements), rehearsal before three course dinner then a final rehearsal before adjourning to the bar (or bed)!

 

Sunday: concert rehearsals until lunchtime, finale afternoon concert in St Michael's Church at 2.00pm (open to the public); return to the hotel for afternoon tea and the weekend prizegiving before heading for home.
